Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has called for an immediate departure of the three top leaders of the three major parties.
Posting a video message on his social media platform Facebook, he has called for a generational change in leadership, urging Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli, and CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to step down.
He stated that a dialogue should be initiated within all three parties to this effect.
He also said that the leaders of the three parties should be told to step aside without any conditions. Thapa argues that a dialogue is necessary to achieve a fundamental overhaul of the political parties.
Thapa pointed out that the Prime Minister's post has been circulating between Deuba, Oli, and Prachanda for the last 10 years, and this is the main problem for today.
Thapa said, "Are you still not going to realize this? Are you not going to take your farewell? Don't you still need to remove them? I hear—you are still talking about general conventions, special conventions."
