The Federation of International Nepali Youth Entrepreneurs (FINYE), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering youth entrepreneurship in Hong Kong, has undergone a leadership change, with Soyena Dhakal taking the helm.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dhakal is distinguished as possibly the first Nepali woman to achieve significant early success and knowledge within the city's finance sector. She completed her primary education at Delia School, Mei Foo, and her secondary education at YMCA College, Tung Chung.
She was a class topper in college, earning a scholarship and serving as a role model for discipline. She was also selected as a College Girls Prefect throughout her studies, which is why those aspiring to enroll in that college still seek her reference.

Currently working as Director at Finex Hong Kong Ltd, Dhakal holds a Master's degree in Finance from the National University of Singapore.
Proficient in Mandarin, Dhakal gained international finance experience through an internship in Shanghai. This built upon her foundational work in Nepal, where she completed internships in asset management at Laxmi Bank and Laxmi Capital. She also contributes as a freelance writer for Nepalkhabar.
Similarly, Suresh Thapa and Laxmi Gurung have been elected as vice presidents, Almon Subba (general secretary) and Suhani Pun (treasurer) and Jesan Shah is the new secretary.
Likewise, the committee members are Priyanka Chaudhary, Arati Poudel, Prasanna Gyawali, Trishna Rai, Nischal Dahal, Swagat Gautam, and Bhabishya Kharel.
This new leadership, which was elected during the general assembly held in Causeway Bay on Saturday, will serve until 2027.
