Korea job aspirants, who have passed the language skills examination two years ago, have picketed the Office of the EPS Korea branch over the delay in sending workers to South Korea.
The agitators gathered and picketed the EPS Korea branch under the Department of Foreign Employment, located in Gwarko, Lalitpur, this afternoon, demanding that they be sent to Korea at the earliest.
For the year 2025, 163,000 individuals participated in the examination, and 17,030 of them were successful in the language test.
The majority of these successful candidates have not yet received their labor contracts, which is why they have been unable to travel to South Korea. Their demand is that the previously passed workers be sent to South Korea first, before the government announces further quotas or examinations for new workers.
South Korea began hiring unskilled Nepali workers under the EPS system in 2008. Currently, approximately 100,000 Nepali citizens are employed in South Korea.
