Biratnagar Kings has set a 136-run target for defending champions Janakpur in the 9th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), a franchised-based T20 cricket tournament, underway in Kirtipur.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Monday, Biratnagar notched up 135 runs losing 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Shubham Ranjane scored the highest 37 runs including 2 fours and 2 sixes off 29 deliveries followed by Basir Ahamad with 36 runs while Lokesh Bam scored 28 runs.
Similarly, Martin Guptill and George Munsey contributed 13 and 10 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the bowling side, Sangeeth Cooray and Rupesh Singh took 2 wickets each while Aaditya Mahata grabbed 1 wicket for Janakpur.
