A Nepali national has died in a road accident in Romania, a European country.
Salin Ale Magar, 25, from Ishwarpur Municipality–6 in Sarlahi, Nepal, died in the road accident on Friday. Salin, who had been working at Pan Fast-Food restaurant in Bucharest, had gone to Romania10 months ago for employment.
According to Lhakpa Tenji Lama Sherpa, a member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Europe Branch, Salin died on the spot on Calea Giulesti Street in Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
Member Lama informed Nepalkhabar that Salin was hit by a speeding car coming from the opposite direction while he was crossing the road. The car involved in the accident was driven by an 18-year-old Romanian youth.
Salin’s body is currently kept at the morgue of Clinic de Argenta Hospital in Bucharest. His family has been informed about the incident, and his body will be repatriated to Nepal after completing the necessary legal procedures, according to Sherpa.
