CPN (UML) has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

UML leader Mahesh Bartaula told Nepalkhabar that the writ petition was registered in the Supreme Court today, arguing that the process of dissolution was against the Constitution.

Bartaula was the chief whip and Sunita Baral was whip in the dissolved parliamentary party (PP).

A meeting of the dissolved UML Parliamentary Party had decided to move the Supreme Court with the signatures of UML lawmakers.

UML has been demanding the reinstatement of the HoR arguing that the dissolution was against the Constitution. On the other hand, the elections have been scheduled for March 5.
