Chitwan Rhinos put a break in the winning streak of Biratnagar by clinching a 48-run win in the 12th match of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) held in Kirtipur on Wednesday.
Biratnagar was bowled out for 126 runs in 16.5 overs while it was chasing the 175-run target set by Chitwan Rhinos.

To restrict from reaching the target, Ranjit Kumar took the highest 5 wickets for 21 runs followed by Kamal Airee with 2 wickets. Similarly, Sohail Tanvir, Saif Zaib and Kushal Malla grabbed 1 wicket each for Chitwan Rhinos.
Marchant de Lange's 39-run score was the highest for Biratnagar. Lange hit 2 fours and 4 sixes off 22 runs. Pratis GC scored 30 runs while Sam Heazlett contributed 22 runs. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss at the TU International Cricket Ground on Wednesday, Chitwan notched up 174 runs losing 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Ravi Bopara topped the score with 65 runs including 3 fours and 4 sixes off 38 balls. Similarly, Saif Zaib scored 32 runs followed by Dev Khanal with 28 runs while Kushal Malla and Dawid Malan contributed 20 and 17 runs, respectively. The other batsmen could not achieve significant runs.
On the bowling side, Marchant de Lange and Sandeep Lamichhane took 2 wickets each while Shubham Ranjane grabbed 1 wicket for Biratnagar.
With this, Biratnagar has won three matches and lost one played so far, scoring 6 points while Chitwan has won two, gaining 4 points, and lost the other out of three matches played so far.

Two matches are scheduled for tomorrow. Lumbini Lions will take on Sudurpaschim in the first match at 11:45 and and Janakpur Bolts and Pokhara Avengers will lock their horns in the second match at 4 pm.
