Prime Minister Sushila Karki has expanded her Council of Ministers to 14 members, with the appointment of four news ministers on Friday.
Newly appointed ministers are Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Kumar Ingnam, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security, Rajendra Singh Bhandari, Minister for Forests, Environment, Madhav Chaulagain and Minister for Children, and Senior Citizens, Shradha Shrestha.
With the appointment of new ministers, the cabinet has now reached 14 members despite Prime Minister Karki's earlier commitment that her cabinet would not exceed 11 members.

Prime Minister Karki is still retaining three more ministries – Foreign, Defense and Water Supplies. Similarly, other three ministers have also been looking after more than one ministry. Rameshwar Khanal has been looking after the Ministry for Federal Affairs and General Administration after from Finance.
Similarly, Kulman Ghising is looking after the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Ministry of Urban Development, beside the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation. Similarly, Anil Kumar Sinha is responsible for Ministry of Industry, Commence and Supplies; Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
