Cold grips Valley as mercury dips to 2.9 degrees

The Kathmandu Valley has become even colder on Saturday. In the initial reading, the minimum temperature has already dropped below 3 degrees Celsius.

According to information provided by the Meteorological Forecasting Division to Nepalkhabar, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded at 2.9° degrees at 5:45 am today.

This is only an initial reading. The official measurement for the day takes place at 8:45 am, when the temperature may drop even further. On Friday, the initial reading of 3 degrees eventually fell to 2.4 degrees by the 8:45 am measurement. The lowest point reached during this period is recorded as the day's official minimum temperature.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division measures the minimum and maximum temperatures for various locations across the country, including Kathmandu, every day. The minimum temperature is recorded at 8:45 am, and the maximum temperature is recorded at 5:45 pm.
