Nepali Congress (NC) has directed all its subordinate committees to form 12 coordination committees in every constituency for the upcoming local level elections.
Organizing a press at the central party headquarters in Sanepa on Wednesday, Central Election Mobilization Committee Coordinator Bishwa Prakash Sharma informed that circulars have been sent to all seven provinces, 77 districts and 165 constituencies.
The committee has also directed to inform the center immediately after the formation of the coordination committees.
According to the directive, two key bodies must be established to enhance campaign effectiveness: an election management secretariat of five to seven members, and an election mobilization main committee supported by seven sub-committees.
Similarly, Election Publicity Main Committee, Local Unit Coordination Committee, Intelligentsia Coordination Committee, Social Organizations Coordination Committee, and Religious Organizations Coordination Committee have to be formed.
Alongside these, NC has also directed the formation of the Private Sector Coordination Committee, a Special Campaign for Gen Zs, the Former Migrants Coordination Committee, and the Local Administration Coordination and Monitoring Committee.
