The Nepali national cricket team held a practice session at the Wankhede International Stadium on Tuesday evening as part of preparation for its second ICC T20 World Cup match against Italy this Thursday.

Despite a narrow 4-run loss to two-time champion England in its opening match—where Nepal pushed the giants to the final ball—the team is looking to bounce back. Chasing a historic victory, Nepal fell just short in a thriller that has since fueled their determination for the rest of the group stage.

Nepal enters Thursday’s match as the clear favorite. While this marks Italy’s World Cup debut, Nepal is making its third appearance in the global tournament.

Nepal is scheduled to play all four of its group-stage matches at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Following the Italy clash, Nepal will face West Indies on February 15, followed by a final group encounter against Scotland on February 17.

Scotland joined the tournament as a late replacement for Bangladesh. After the ICC rejected a request from the Bangladesh Cricket Board to move their matches to Sri Lanka due to security concerns, Scotland was awarded the slot to compete in the scheduled venues across Mumbai and Kolkata.
