Senior leader of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Balendra Shah (Balen) has voted from Kathmandu.

Although he has filed his candidacy from Jhapa-5, his voter list is in Kathmandu.

Balen's secretariat has informed that he voted a while ago from the polling station at Annapurna English School in Sinamangal.

He is scheduled to fly to Jhapa-5 immediately after voting.

"He will go to Jhapa immediately after voting. If the plane is operational, he will reach Jhapa by plane or by helicopter," said a member of Balen's secretariat, "He will reach all the local levels of his constituency as much as possible today. He will meet voters from all four municipalities."

The NISP has nominated Balen as the next Prime Minister. Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Balen is contesting the House of Representatives election for the first time.
