The United States has congratulated Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for winning a nearly two-thirds majority in the House of Representatives elections held on March 5.
It also said that it looks forward to working with the new government of Nepal.
According to the US Embassy in Nepal, US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs Sergio Gore called RSP President Rabi Lamichhane over the phone on Wednesday to congratulate him.
During the call, he said, “The United States looks forward to working with Nepal’s new government to strengthen our economic partnership and further deepen the friendship between our countries."
