The National Sports Council (NSC) has suspended All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) for three months.

The ANFA executive committee was suspended for three months as per the NSC decision, reads a letter issued by NSC on Wednesday.

Reasons behind suspension of the ANFA are—not adhering to directives in accordance with National Sports Development Act, 2077 and National Sports Development Regulations 2079,  as well as not implementing decisions and obeying legal provisions.

The NSC shared that such move was taken after the ANFA did not take permission of NSC while forwarding election process and did not carry out work in accordance with the law.
