Gold and silver prices up

The price of gold and silver has increased in the local market today as well. Gold has risen by Rs 6,700 per tola (11.66 grams) and the same amount of silver by Rs 145.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold is set at Rs 290,200 per tola and the price of the same quantity of silver at Rs 4,845 today.

Yesterday on Monday, the price of hallmark gold per tola was Rs 283,500 and the same quantity of silver was traded at Rs 4,700.

The price of gold was Rs 286,000 per tola and the price of the same quantity of silver was Rs 4,720 on Sunday.

According to international media, an ounce of gold is trading at 4,560 US dollars and the same amount of silver is trading at 80 US dollars in the international market today.
