On the occasion of the memorial day of the founding leader of Nepali Congress and the first democratically elected Prime Minister of Nepal, BP Koirala, Nepali Congress has announced the establishment of a Human Assistance Welfare Fund today.
Announcing the fund, President Gagan Thapa said that the funds will be used to help single women and children who have been rendered homeless.
He also said that the fund collected so far has reached one million rupees from party members and that it will continue to increase.
He said that detailed information about the fund and other political issues and campaigns of the party will be provided at a program organized at City Hall on Thursday at 2 pm.
NC has stated that it will conclude the currently running Jara Abhiyan and announce a new program by organizing a special program at the City Hall on the occasion of BP Memorial Day at 2 pm on Thursday.
