Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, has congratulated Nepal's newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs, Shisir Khanal, on assuming the office of the Foreign Minister of Nepal.
In a message addressed to Minister Khanal, Minister Lavrov conveyed his warm congratulations on the occasion of his appointment as the Foreign Minister of the Government of Nepal.
Highlighting the longstanding ties between the two countries, Lavrov noted that Russia and Nepal have traditionally enjoyed friendly relations. He expressed his expectation of close cooperation to further strengthen bilateral relations and promote cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of both nations.
The Russian Foreign Minister also wished Minister Khanal good health and success in carrying out his responsibilities.
