UML MP Bhandari elected NA vice chair unopposed

CPN (UML) Member of Parliament (MP) Leela Kumari Bhandari has been elected unopposed as the vice chairman of the National Assembly (NA).

The proposal put forward by MP Prem Prasad Dangal to elect MP Bhandari as the vice chairman of the NA was unanimously passed in the National Assembly meeting held on Monday.  

National Assembly Speaker Narayan Prasad Dahal announced that Bhandari was elected unopposed as the Vice President of the National Assembly. On the occasion, he congratulated the newly elected Vice President Bhandari and wished her success in her term.

UML MP Bhandari was elected unopposed as the vice chairman with the consensus of all parties including Nepali Congress and Nepali Communist Party (NCP). 

Bhandari, who is also a member of the Constituent Assembly, has also assumed the responsibility of the Minister of State for Education, Science and Technology.
