Ruby Thakur has filed her candidacy for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives from Shram Sanskriti Party.
Thakur filed her candidacy with the support of Ashok Kumar Chaudhary of Rastriya Swatantra Party on Thursday. The 25-year-old Thakur became an MP through the proportional representation (PR) system.
Similarly, Saraswati Tamang has also filed her candidacy from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP). The deadline for filing candidacy was set for 2 pm on Thursday. The elections of the Deputy Speaker is scheduled for Friday.
