Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to vote for Rubi Kumari Thakur, the candidate from Shram Sanskriti Party, for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
Spokesperson Manish Jha informed that the parliamentary party (PP) meeting held at the RSP PP Office in Singha Durbar on Friday decided to vote for Thakur. After the meeting, Spokesperson Jha said, “The PP meeting has approved voting for the candidate proposed by Shram Sanskriti Party, Ruby Kumari Thakur, (Dhanusha), in the election of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.”
The meeting, chaired by parliamentary party leader and Prime Minister Balendra Shah, was attended by RSP President Rabi Lamichhane and other lawmakers.
Thakur from Shram Sanskriti Party and Saraswati Tamang from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) are the candidates for the post of Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives. The agenda for the election of the Deputy Speaker is at 4 pm today in the House of Representatives.
