Two people have died after a pickup van hit a motorcycle in Kailali.
A pickup van bearing the number Su Pa Pra, 01-001 Ja 1421, hit a motorcycle bearing the number Su Pa Pra 01-13 Pa 5139 in Lamkichuha Municipality-7, along the East-West Highway in Kailali on Tuesday evening.
Both Gagan Rana Magar, 33, of Lamkichuha Municipality-8, and Pushpa Sunar, 24, of the same place, who were riding the motorcycle, were seriously injured in the accident.
They were taken to Tikapur Hospital for treatment. However, both died during treatment, according to police.
A search is underway for the pickup truck driver, while the vehicle owner has been taken into custody, according to police.
