Two killed in fire, one in Udaypur road accident

Two people died in a fire at Beltar Bazaar in Chaudandigadhi Municipality-7, Udaypur.

In the incident that occurred this morning, 70-year-old Laxmi Narayan Khadka and 30-year-old Pawan Khadka lost their lives, according to Information Officer Niranjan Thapa of the District Police Office. The fire broke out at the home of Laxmi Narayan Khadka.

The blaze also damaged two neighbouring houses. The cause of the fire—whether a short circuit or something else—has yet to be determined. Police are investigating the incident.

The fire was brought under control with the help of firefighters from the Triyuga and Chaudandigadhi municipalities along with police personnel and local residents.

The fire caused property damage worth Rs 6.6 million.

Meanwhile, a youth was killed in a road accident at Belaka Municipality-3.

The incident occurred when a bus carrying people attending a wedding ceremony hit a motorcycle (Pa 8446). The deceased has been identified as 27-year
