Nepal lost to USA by 7 wickets in the match held under the ICC Women's T20 Challenge Trophy today.
In the match held at the Gahanga Cricket Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda, USA achieved the winning target of 87 runs set by Nepal for the loss of 3 wickets in just 11.5 overs. Isani Vaghela scored 35 runs while Sainvi Kambalapally scored 21 and Pooja Ganesh contributed 20 runs.
For Nepal, Manisha Upadhyay, Pooja Mahato and Indu Verma took one wicket each.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to bat first, Nepal scored only 86 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Ruby Podar scored a half century (51 runs) for Nepal and was the only batswoman who reached double figures. Pooja Mahato and Kabita Kunwar added 8 runs each to the Nepali total.
For the US, Mahi Madhavan and Ritu Priya Singh took 2 wickets each.
