A writ petition has been filed at the Supreme Court against the Property Investigation Commission formed by the government.

The writ petition filed today by Advocate Dr Premraj Silwal demands dismissal of the commission formed by the government, arguing that it is unconstitutional. The hearing on the petition has been scheduled for Wednesday.

The government had formed a five-member commission under the coordination of former Supreme Court Justice Rajendra Kumar Bhandari. The commission has been given a mandate to investigate the assets of high-ranking officials since 2062 BS.
