Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President Rabi Lamichhane has urged people to vote for the candidate of their choice regardless of whether they are new or old.
Addressing the RSP's closed session that began at the Industry Association Exhibition Center in Bharatpur, Chitwan on Tuesday afternoon, President Lamichhane urged people not to say whether they are new or old while voting for central member candidates.
“The party has not made any formal decision whether a minister or MP is to be voted or not. He said that there is no barrier for a representative to become a candidate. "Contest the elections freely,” Lamichhane said.
"It's up to you whom to vote for," Lamichhane said. "We are not in favor of issuing decrees saying, "Vote for this man or that. Vote for the candidate of your choice."
The election process will begin after some reports are endorsed in the closed session of the First General Convention of RSP.
The president and central members will be elected in the first phase and the office bearers will be elected in the second phase. The central members will vote for the office bearers, according to the party statue.
