CPN (UML) Vice Chairman and former Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel has been brought to Kathmandu.
Arrested from Sova Hotel in Surkhet on Monday, Paudel was brought to Kathmandu on Tuesday afternoon. He has been taken to the Department of Money Laundering Investigation.

He was taken to Nepalgunj in Banke from Surkhet on Monday evening. From there, he was brought in a vehicle at night. He was brought to Kathmandu this afternoon.
He will now be produced before the Special Court, said Uttam Kumar Ghimire, Information Officer of the Money Laundering Investigation Department. “He will be taken to the Special Government Attorney Office, Maitighar, for the process of extending his remand. He will then be produced before the Special Court,” Ghimire said.

Paudel was arrested on the charge of money laundering. Before his arrest in Surkhet on Monday, a raid was also conducted at his residence in Bhaisepati.
