A young man has been murdered by using a sharp weapon in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, and three people have been arrested in connection with the murder.
Bipin Ghimire of Dhurkot, Gulmi, was murdered with a sharp weapon over a minor dispute on Wednesday afternoon, said SP Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Police Range.
Ghimire, who was seriously injured in the sharp weapon attack around 2:15 pm on Wednesday, died in the course of treatment at the Kirtipur Hospital.
According to Bhattarai, those who were involved in the murder are acquaintances of Bipin. The police have found records of their previous arrests and acquittals.
The arrested are Ashish Maharjan, 22, of Hanuman Ghat, Kirtipur Municipality-9, Roshan Bohora, 21, of Dilasaini Rural Municipality-3, Baitadi, currently residing in Tanglaphant, Kirtipur Municipality-2, and Rabin Dhami, 23, of Bardagoria Rural Municipality-4, Kailali, currently residing in Pangadobato, Kirtipur-10.
The police said they have initiated further investigation into the incident.
