Nepal is currently under the influence of a westerly low-pressure system coupled with local winds in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country. As a result of this pattern, the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country will be generally cloudy and the Tarai part will be partly cloudy today, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

Currently, the Himalayan regions of the country, including the Himalayan and hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are generally cloudy, and the Tarai belt is partly cloudy.

Light rain with thunder and lightning is taking place in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and one or two places in Koshi, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

The Himalayan and hilly regions of the country, including Koshi and Madhesh provinces, will be generally cloudy and the Tarai belt will be partly cloudy today. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall with thunder and lightning at some places in the Himalayan and hilly regions of the Koshi Province and the remaining provinces, at a few places in Madhesh Province, and at one or two places in the remaining Tarai regions, the Department stated.
