Govt dismisses 15 honorary consuls abroad

The government has dismissed as many as 15 honorary consuls abroad.

A cabinet meeting held on Friday decided to dismiss the honorary consuls, informed government spokesperson and Minister for Education Sasmit Pokharel.

Talking to media persons following the cabinet meeting, Pokharel said, "Fifteen honorary consuls general and consuls abroad will be dismissed on the proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

Similarly, the government has authorized the submission of the 2014 Protocol to the Forced Labor Convention (No 29) and the Labor Inspection Convention of 1947 (No 81) to the Federal Parliament for formal ratification.
