State honor offered to centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi (Photo Feature)

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, ministers and among other dignitaries paid last tributes to the mortal remain of centenarian Satya Mohan Joshi on the premises of Lalitpur metropolis by offering floral garlands.

Besides, a large number of general public thronged the premises of the metropolis to pay last tributes to Joshi.

Earlier his body was kept on the premise of Kist Hospital for last rites from 10:45 am to 11:30 am after he passed away while undergoing treatment at 7:09 am today.

Joshi’s body will be kept in the courtyard of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City for last respects and will then be taken back to Kist Hospital.

Joshi's body will be handed over to Kist Medical College as per his pledge to hand over his body to medical science students for study.

Culture expert Joshi breathed his last at the age of 103 at KIST Hospital in Lalitpur in the course of treatment for dengue infection.
