Biratnagar Super Kings booked a berth in the second qualifiers of the Nepal T20 League by defeating Kathmandu Knights.
In the eliminator held on Monday, Biratnagar entered the qualifiers by beating Kathmandu by a whopping 99-run.
With this win, Biratnagar now will take on Janakpur Royals in the second qualifiers. The winner of the tournament will enter the final.
Janakpur had faced a six-run defeat at the hands of Lumbini All Stars in the first qualifiers.
Kathmandu were restricted to paltry 83 runs in 12.4 overs while chasing a 183-run target set by Biratnagar.
Abinash Bohara scored highest 16 runs while Gyanendra Malla and Lokesh Bam scored 15 and 13 runs respectively.
To restrict Kathmandu so chiefly, Surya Tamang grabbed the highest four wickets while Shahab Alam and Keon Joseph claimed two wickets each for Biratnagar.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss, Biratnagar had notched up 182 runs losing six wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Skipper Rohit Paudel made the highest 61 runs including six fours and two sixes off 49 deliveries. Similarly, Bibek Yadav made 46 not out runs, Hussain Talat collected 38 runs while Raj Nannan contributed 23 runs.
In reply, Anil Kharel and Kamal Airee took two wickets each while Gautam KC and Abinash Bohara took one wicket each.
