Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has expressed strong commitment to strengthening ties with Nepal in a meeting with Rabi Lamichhane, the President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
During the meeting, both leaders discussed bilateral cooperation and mutual growth, underscoring the deep-rooted connection between the two neighboring nations. Prime Minister Modi emphasized India's readiness to collaborate closely with Nepal's new government administration to further enhance their unique diplomatic partnership.
"I am extremely delighted to have the opportunity to meet with President of Rastriya Swatantra Party of Nepal, Mr Rabi Lamichhane. I welcome your aspiration to work together for a shared and prosperous future, and I fully agree with it," Mentioned Prime Minister Modi, "Under our Neighborhood First policy, Nepal is a priority partner, and we are eager to collaborate with the new government to elevate the unique and multifaceted relationship between our two countries to new heights."

The discussions signal a continued momentum in India-Nepal relations, focusing on shared prosperity, regional stability, and multifaceted collaboration across various sectors.
Lamichhane, who is currently on a five-day official visit to India, has already held meetings with Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Bharatiya Janata Party President Nitin Nabin.
He will also interact with the Nepali community and his supporters residing in India. Following the meeting he is scheduled to go to Ayodhya, a religious city. He will return home on June 5.
