David Marriott, Chairman of Marriott International—one of the world's largest hospitality companies—is scheduled to arrive in Nepal on June 7 for a brief official visit. He will leave Nepal on June 8.
Marriott is visiting Kathmandu at the invitation of CG Hospitality, the hospitality arm of the Chaudhary Group. During his visit, a major strategic partnership agreement will be signed between the two companies.
"David Marriott is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on the afternoon of June 7. We are hosting a strategic partnership signing ceremony at Hotel Soaltee later that evening," an official from CG Hospitality confirmed.
Under its expanding CG by Marriott, CG Hospitality has partnered with Marriott to construct a luxury Ritz-Carlton hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu, alongside future collaborations with Westin Hotels & Resorts.
Founded in 1927, Marriott International currently operates over 9,700 hotels and resorts across more than 140 countries.
