With the introduction of the new rule of Saudi immigration, Nepalese who have got an 'exit visa' have to leave Saudi Arabia within 2 weeks.
According to the new rules, those who have received exit visa, must leave Saudi Arabia within two weeks and it has been five to six days since some applicants got their exit visa.
According to the Nepali Embassy in Riyadh, those who feature in the list published by the embassy must leave Saudi Arabia within a week.
The embassy has requested migrant workers to check the expiry date of their exit visa and leave Saudi Arabia within the time-frame stipulated.
Previously, there was a rule that those who had an exit visa had to return to their home country within 60 days, but now it has been reduced to two weeks.
Exit visa to additional 114 Nepalis
Additional 114 Nepali migrant workers, who have been residing illegally in Saudi Arabia for various reasons, have received exit visas.
An exit visa is mandatory for migrant workers staying illegally in Saudi Arabia to return home.
Workers cannot return home unless they have an exit visa. The Saudi government will provide exit visas upon request from the respective country's embassy.
