A person has attempted to self-immolate in front of Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwar on Tuesday afternoon.
A youth from Ilam tried to self-immolate while Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was coming out in his vehicle after participating in the meeting of the House of Representatives.
Prem Presad Acharya from Ilam has sustained critical injuries after he set a fire to himself after dousing in kerosene.
Acharya, who tried to commit himself, was immediately rushed to the hospital, informed SP Dinesh Raj Mainali, the spokesperson of Metropolitan Police Range, Kathmandu.
Currently, he is undergoing treatment at Kirtipur Burn Hospital.
