Two persons have drowned while bathing in the Doda River in Kanchanpur. Two others have been injured in the incident that took place on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Kunwar and Bijay Kunwar of Shantipur in Belauri Municipality-7, said Deputy Superintendent of Police and spokesperson of District Police Office Kanchanpur, Umeshraj Joshi.
Samir Subedi and Shishir Bista from the same locality sustained injuries. They are undergoing treatment at local medical centers.
