Parijita Bastola, a Nepali-American teen, has won the Voice Battles round by leaving the coach and viewers of the show dumfounded with her melodious voice.
Bastola, 17, who succeeded in turning all four chairs in the blind audition, chose Team Legend.
For the Battles round of 'The Voice' season 22 on Tuesday, John sent Parijita to compete against the pair of sisters, The Marilynds. They sang 'How Deep Is Your Love' by the Bee Gees.
“Your voice is just phenomenal. That level of self-awareness, self-knowledge, and self-possession is coming from someone so young. It feels so inviting,” said Legend commenting her performance.
Echoing to Legend, his Battle Advisor, Jazmine Sullivan, comented that her voice was soo good in her age and woundered how it would sound in 10 years down the line.
And, in the Battles Round, Coach John Legend chose her as the winner of the Battles Round.
However, Marilyns sister is also safe in the show. John used his special powers to protect the sister duo Marilynds. (With inputs from Agencies)
