Host team Gandaki Pradesh will take on Madhesh Pradesh in an inaugural match of the women’s cricket tournament under the Ninth National Games.
Two matches will be held on the first day of the tournament. Sudurpashchim Pradesh and Bagmati Pradesh will lock their horns in the second match to be held on the same day. The match will be held at Pokhara Stadium.
Participating teams have been divided into two groups. Nepal APF Club, Madhesh Pradesh, Gandaki Pradesh, Sudurpaschim Pradesh and Bagmati Pradesh are placed in group ‘A’ while Nepal Police Club, Karnali Pradesh, Pradesh 1 and Lumbini Pradesh are in group ‘B’.
Top two teams from each group will enter the semi-finals.
The women’s cricket matches are scheduled to be held in Pokhara on October 9-18. The Ninth National Games will be held on October 14-20.
