UML’s secretariat meeting underway at Chyasal

A secretariat meeting of the ruling CPN (UML) is taking place at its central party office in Chyasal in Lalitpur.

The meeting is focused on the Sudurpaschim Province government and the meetings of the high-level political mechanism, source have said.

UML is looking for ways to save Rajendra Singh Rawal, who became the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province on January 11, is now facing crisis.

The Sudurpaschim government led by Rawal is now likely to be toppled after Nagarik Unmukti Party said I will withdraw its support to it.

 There has been a constitutional provision that the Chief Minister has to take the vote of confidence within one month after the appointment.

 The NUP which has seven seats has said it will not give the confidence vote to it saying that it did not address its demands.
