Namibia set 286-run target for Nepal

Namibia have set a mammoth 286-run target for home team Nepal in the tri-series under the ICC World Cricket League 2 underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur on Tuesday.

Namibia’s Michael van Lingen topped the score with 133 runs studded with nine fours and five sixes off 137 deliveries. Similarly, Gerhard Erasmus made 56 runs off 79 balls while Zane Green hit 34 runs.

In reply, Karan KC grabbed five wickets while Sandeep Lamichhane took three wickets for Nepal.

Namibia, Scotland and Nepal are taking part in the tri-nation series. Nepal would play second match against Scotland on February 17.

Nepal are in the sixth position in the series by securing 18 scores from 24 matches while Namibia have secured third position with 37 scores from 30 matches.
