Scotland have set a target of 275 runs for Nepal in a match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 underway at TU International Cricket Ground on Friday.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Scotland notched up 274 runs losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Michael Leask topped the score with 107 not-out runs including three fours and nine sixes off balls. Similarly, Jack Jarvis made 26 runs including one four and one six while Christopher McBride and Brandon McMullen contributed 22 runs each.
In reply, Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed three wickets, Kushal Malla took two wickets while Sompal Kami, Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee claimed one wicket each for Nepal.
Scotland thrashed Namibia by 10 wickets in a match on Wednesday.
Out of the total 33 matches under the ODI they played, Scotland secured a win in 23, and lost eight. They have topped the group with 48 points. The ODI started in 2019.
Similarly, Nepal registered a historic two-wicket win against Namibia in a match on February 14.
Out of the total 25 matches they played so far, they won nine, and lost 14. They have yet to play remaining 11 matches. They are placed in the sixth position with 20 points.
