Home team Nepal have defeated Scotland by three wickets in a match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 held at TU International Cricket Ground on Friday.
Chasing the 275-run target set by Scotland, Nepal reached it in 47 overs losing seven wickets.
Dipendra Singh Airee topped the score with 85 not out runs studded with eight fours and one six off 116 deliveries followed by Kushal Malla with 81 runs off 67 balls. Similarly, Sompal Kami and Gulsan Jha contributed 24 and 17 runs, respectivley.
In reply, Mark Watt and Chris Sole grabbed three wickets each while Michael Leask claimed one wicket for Scotland.
Earlier, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Scotland notched up 274 runs losing nine wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Michael Leask topped the score with 107 not-out runs including three fours and nine sixes off balls. Similarly, Jack Jarvis made 26 runs including one four and one six while Christopher McBride and Brandon McMullen contributed 22 runs each.
In reply, Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed three wickets, Kushal Malla took two wickets while Sompal Kami, Kushal Bhurtel and Dipendra Singh Airee claimed one wicket each for Nepal.
Dipendra Singh Airee is declared the Player of the Match.
Nepal registered a historic two-wicket win against Namibia in a match on Tuesday to meet with Scotland.
Similarly, scotland thrashed Namibia by 10 wickets in a match on Wednesday.
