President of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Chatur Bahadur Chand has said cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane be allowed to play cricket matches.
Speaking at the annual general meeting of the cricket governing body that started since this morning, Chand said the CAN will abide by the decision issued by the court.
Rape-accused Lamichhane who served a jail-term for more than three months was released on Rs 2 million bail on January 13.
The CAN on January 31 lifted suspension imposed on Lamichhane and called him to the national team.
Following his comeback in the national team, Lamichhane took the highest 13 wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 held recently.
Sandeep has filed a case at the Supreme Court seeking permission that he be allowed to go to UAE to play cricket matches.
