Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has flown to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to play tri-series under the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2.
Lamichhane left for the UAE to play the tri-series on Wednesday afternoon.
With the Supreme Court’s verdict granting Lamichhane permission to go abroad, the CAN was initiating the process to send him to the UAE.
The cricket governing body had earlier sent a letter to the ICC for approval.
One player has to come back from the UAE after Lamichhane reaches the gulf country. According to sources, Lamichhane will replace cricketer Shyam Dhakal (Mausam).
Currently, Nepali National Cricket team is in the UAE to play ICC World Cup League 2.
Nepal are scheduled to play home UAE on Thursday. Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by four wickets on Tuesday.
