Papua New Guinea (PNG) set a 96-run target for Nepal in an ODI tri-series match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 underway at TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
To exert pressure on PNG, Sandeep Lamichhane alone took five wickets giving away 25 runs.
Similarly, Kushal Malla, Lalit Rajbanshi took two wickets each while Sompal Kami grabbed one wicket to limit PNG to paltry 95 runs in 32 overs.
PNG's Assad Vala took the highest 20 runs followed by Sese Bau, Charles Amini and Hiri Hiri with 18, 16 and 14, respectively while the other batsmen could not reach double-digit runs.
