The Friends Club defeated Jawalakhel Youth Club to register their first victory under the Martyrs Memorial A Division League Football Competition.
In the match held at Dasarath Stadium in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu on Tuesday, Friends Club emerged victorious by 2-1.
Rafiq Aminu and Prakash Budhathoki scored a goal each for their team while Jawalakhel Youth Club's Fode Fofana scored a goal. Rafiq scored a goal in the 19th minute of the match while Captain Prakash doubled the lead with the second goal in 40th minute as of the first half.
In the second half, Jawalakhel Youth Club's Fofana scored a goal in 87th minute. The Jawalakhel Youth Club was awarded with a penalty kick after Friends' Club Amit Tamang fouled Samiraj Thokar in the penalty area.
With this win, the Friends' Club have collected four points in four matches. The Jawalakhel Youth Club have played four matches and garnered seven points.
