Nepali Tihar in a Netherlander's eyes (Watch photos)

Nepali people are celebrating Tihar, the second biggest festival after Dashain, on Monday.

Kukur Tihar falls on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. On this day, Nepali people worship dogs with respect by offering them delicious foods and laying floral garlands on their necks. It is worshipped as the vehicle of Bhairava, according to Hindu religion. 



On the occasion of Kukur Tihar, Nepal Police has also worshipped dogs of its canine branch amidst a program today.

The army and police use dogs in the crime investigations and recruit them as employees.
