Ruling alliance govt unveils CMP (with full text)

The nine-party alliance government led by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has made public a common minimum program (CMP).

Held at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar on Thursday, Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma unveiled the CMP of the government.

The alliance government in the CMP has placed the issue of transitional justice on top priority and expressed commitment to complete the remaining tasks of the peace process and the transitional justice in the next two years.

Meanwhile, the government said it will rehabilitate and provide compensation to the conflict victims.

The meeting has also decided to endorse an amendment Bill on the Commission on Investigation of Enforced Disappeared Persons Truth and Reconciliation Commission Act, and form the commission immediately.
