NP Saud, a central member of the Nepali Congress, is set to become the foreign minister. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', who is preparing to expand the cabinet for the eighth time, is going to appoint Saud as the foreign minister as per the decision of the Congress.
According to sources close to Baluwatar, Saud is taking oath on Sunday at 3 pm.
Congress has also sent a letter to Baluwatar to appoint Saud as foreign minister.
"Tomorrow (Sunday) the swearing-in ceremony will be held at 3 pm," a close source told Nepalkhabar, "Now only he will be sworn-in by the Congress."
According to the agreement in the ruling coalition, the NC has agreed to take eight ministries. Out of which Congress has previously sent only four ministers to the cabinet.
On March 1, Prime Minister Prachanda expanded the Cabinet for the seventh time. At that time Purna Bahadur Khadka became Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense from the Congress, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat as Finance Minister, Ramesh Rijal as Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister and Sita Gurung as Urban Development Minister.
