Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Narayankaji Shrestha has said development of the much-hyped reservoir-based Budhigandaki Hydropower Project would advance from the upcoming fiscal year.

At a programme in Palungtar Municipality of Gorkha district on Saturday, the Deputy Prime Minister said the national pride project will move forward from the upcoming fiscal year and it will have great positive impacts on country's economic and social changes.

He termed that the project contributes hugely to the entire nation- not only to Gorkha district.

On the occasion, he shared that the government had proposed the Chinese side to develop a road along Benighat-Arughat to Ruyila Pass and open the point along the Nepal-China border. Shrestha further informed that the incumbent government was working to give a sense of change through development initiatives adding that it was the current government's responsibility.

The Deputy Prime Minister viewed the country should be advanced on the path to development and prosperity, giving the results of the transformation to the people.
